It started with me just being a girl who loved everything cute. I was obsessed with cute clothes, bags, and shoes, but the options were limited and everything was so expensive.
The biggest gap I found was in the sneakers category. Almost every brand poured their cute designs into clothing, and barely anyone was making the kawaii shoes I actually wanted to wear.

At the time I was in a "fancy" corporate job I dreaded. I knew there had to be more than clocking in and going numb for 9–10 hours a day, so I bet on myself and started building something of my own. I named the business Bobo's House after my best friend Bo, who passed away in an accident when we were in high school. I wanted to carry her with me into everything I build. The "house" part was intentional too, a house isn't just one thing. It's shoes, clothes, plushies, toys, a whole world.

I was advised to change the name many times, but I could never let go of it. It means too much, and it carries too much. We absolutely love shoes, but this isn't the end for us. The goal is to create even more in the future. To develop our own characters with their own stories, and build a whole world our customers can actually relate to. Someday, we'd love our own stores, where everyone can physically feel the magic.
